A Picture...



When I was in school my course was very disorganized and divided so we never collected enough money to make a great study trip, so we finally traveled a weekend to the nearest beach.

The photo I chose was taken on the beach "El Canelo" in 2014 when I was in third year of high school and we were on that trip. It was taken with timer and shows my group of friends from school.

The tour of studies did not have much of "tour" nor of "studios" was more like a walk to the beach between friends. We traveled on November 14 and returned on the 16th because the next day we had classes in the first hour and it was not convenient to enter classes with the smell of alcohol still in our bodies, although anyway the whole school noticed our hangover the day Monday.

I really like this photo because it's the evidence of a fantastic weekend with people I love.

    It's great to travel with friends for a few days. Especially in large groups. Those days should be nice memories.

My favorite technological object is my box of memories because it is able to gather experiences, good and bad moments in one place.  I can not say that I use it frequently because it is not functional in my daily life, but when I want to remember people or facts I turn to it. I bought it a few years ago and previously kept my memories in a shoebox. I like this box because it goes with the style of my room and can save all things of sentimental value.  In a disaster, like a fire, my box of memories would be the first thing I would try to save. My life without it would be very sad, because I value much the symbolic elements and in it I have memories of many years, even decades. I keep things that remind me of my family, my school days and people who are no longer that I would not want to lose memories of.

Evaluation of Blog Experience

It has always been a trouble for me to understand the english language. The dedication to english was poor in my school even tough they promised to be a bilingual institution. My teacher never had patience and being in her classes was a real torture. For 14 years, English has been my frustration. My experience with blogs has been quite nice, some topics are very interesting and others are not so much. I liked the methodology and I think it is a good place to get to know each other better and learn at the same time. It is very entertaining and exciting to write about the topics we like and write them in English. Is a very big challenge. I think my writing skills have improved a lot, because those features are improved with daily practice, which is why I consider blogs to be a good way to practice writing in English. In the future I would like to include more free topics blogs, because it is more entertaining to write about what one likes and not about pre-established topi...

A Subject You've Enjoyed.

My favorite subject of this semester is Critical Theory, is a very theoretical branch where the society and its hierarchical structures are analyzed. This subject is based on Marxist theories and for this reason we have to read authors like Antonio Gramsci, Karl Marx, Friedrich Engel, Adorno and Horkheimer.  The classes are held every Friday afternoon by teacher Pierina Ferretti, in these classes the teacher exposes and explains the ideas of the authors studied and at the end every topic carries out an evaluation. In all these classes the requested texts are analyzed and topics such as cultural industry, power, the strength of ideas, hegemony and art are addressed.  In addition to the main class we have back up classes, made by the assistant teacher Diego Rivera.
